The government of Brazil announced new conditions of Brazil humanitarian visa for Afghans, since the downfall of Afghan republic the government of Brazil started a humanitarian visa program for the affected Afghans.
According to new conditions Afghan nationals who are seeking Brazil Humanitarian visas should have left Afghanistan before 19 August 2021.
Only those Afghans who were moved to Pakistan and Iran can apply for Brazil humanitarian visa. In the start of this program Afghan nationals were able to apply from Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Russia but currently only Pakistan and Iran are can actively accept Brazil humanitarian visa application.
Brazil Humanitarian Visa for Afghans
Brazil humanitarian visa for Afghans are also not subjected to their residential queries. Any Afghan who wants to apply for this visa need to be approved by an NGO in Brazil, which would arrange place for them to live.
Without NGO approval Afghan national canno apply for Brazil humanitarian visa. This is at the time when other nations aren’t subject to such conditions.
Ukrainian refugees do not need such a requirements, they can directly apply for Brazil humanitarian visa and move to Brazil.
Strict requirements for Afghan citizens
In 2021 when Brazil started this program thousands of Afghans were moved to Brazil but tens of them were stuck in Sao Paulo airport for the lack of houses.
Brazil Humanitarian visa is based on self-support, individuals need to be able to support themselves financially, some Afghans who were completely newly arrived waited for long months in airport which caused limitations on new visas for the rest Afghans.

With the downfall of Afghan republic millions of Afghans left their country, most of these Afghans were quickly moved to Pakistan and Iran, more than hundreds of thousands were moved to the United States.
How can Afghan Apply for Brazil humanitarian visa?
Currently Brazilian embassies in Iran and Pakistan don’t accept humanitarian visa applications, it’s not yet clear that which NGOs are going to provide support for these Afghans.
Once NGOs in Brazil listed and the way of accepting of Afghans is clear, then Afghan nationals will be able to apply.
The application process is simple, Afghan national first needs to create an account in Brazilian Consular website, after this step they need to send an email to the embassy consular section.
After Embassy reply they will be reviewed and later called for interview, once the interview is finished, the visa result will be provided after a month.
