New Zealand’s Minister for Economic Development and Growth, Nicola Willis, said that this plan will make New Zealand a more open and attractive country to international talent. She also mentioned, “We hope that some of these individuals will eventually do business with New Zealand.”

These new benefits will be available to those who come to New Zealand for a visit to see their family, relatives, or friends, or those who come under long-term visas, such as the Guardian visa.
